You Can Not Be Lucky Always; Lose Weight Quickly
If you are overweight and still maintain good health, the only thing you have got going for you is luck. However, there is no guarantee that this may continue forever, and so you should immediately embark upon a program to lose weight quickly.
- One of the greatest mistake people commit to losing weight quickly is to go on a crash diet. There is no denying the fact that this will definitely reduce your weight, but you can be sure you will start gaining weight soon. The simple secret is that when you go on crash diet, after some time, your body mechanism will get accustomed to it. The body will think that it has to store fats for the sake of maintaining itself. This stored fat will start increasing your weight. So even if you continuously crash-diet, your body will not lose weight.
Another point is that when you lose weight in the initial stages of crash-dieting, what you lose is the muscle mass and not much of fat. You should always retain the muscle mass even when you make efforts to lose weight quickly.
Exercises like weight training, done regularly, will help you to retain your muscle mass. Further, muscles need more calories to maintain themselves than fats. It is a proven fact that the body with more muscle mass possesses a better metabolism. Hence by retaining your muscle mass, you can spend more calories on a continuous basis so that you will not regain the weight lost.
- It is true that you should change your eating pattern and reduce your intake of calories to lose weight quickly. However, instead of crash-dieting, you should choose foods with fewer calories and high nutrition like fiber diets. Fiber diets that consist of fresh vegetables and salads, fresh fruits, wholesome grains and beans will supply to you enormous quantities of vitamins and minerals but will not add to your weight. Fiber diets will give you fullness more quickly and hence over-eating can also be avoided. Your tendency to eat junk foods, sweets, processed foods and oily and spicy foods that contain fats and to drink sodas and drinks that contain sugar will spoil your efforts to lose weight quickly and hence these useless foods must be completely avoided. You should not avoid taking carbohydrates and fats completely. Your body and brain need them at the prescribed doses for a normal and efficient functioning.
Your eating pattern should undergo a major change to lose weight quickly. You should not eat a large diet during nights because your activity level during nights is almost nil. You can also split your three large meals into several smaller meals and eat them at regular intervals. This will keep supplying the required energy to your body without increasing your weight.
Even while eating, you should take several sips of water so that you can feel the fullness of your stomach quickly. You are also advised to drink one or two glasses of water before eating your meal so that 70% your stomach space will be occupi
